This 21/22 season, Silvia Aznar has been very happy, enjoying the successes of her son Edu, the return of her daughter Alejandra to the arenas, the progress of her grandchildren in the equestrian world where they are already showing potential, having lunch at the riding school bar of the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid, or taking a stroll through the facilities of Montenmedio, among other things.
At the last Andalucía Sunshine Tour, he celebrated Roki's return to the arena, supported and cheered on Alejandra for every clear round she jumped with Caps, and waited for LAC during the marathon working days with his students.
After 14 years, a Nations Cup was once again held at the Club de Campo Villa de Madrid. Edu was part of the Spanish quartet, jumping a double clear round that contributed decisively to the victory, and Silvia was right there to celebrate it. Furthermore, the following day the Grand Prix took place, Roki and Edu took the win, and Silvia was trackside as always. A few days later, on the 19th of June, it was the end-of-season competition for the CCVM's riding school. Silvia was present, with the same enthusiasm as at the CSIO, because the occasion deserved it: her five grandchildren were making their debut. The children showed that the dynasty continues and that there is plenty of the Álvarez Aznar essence left to come. How well they all rode!
Mother and grandmother of riders, horse owner, lover of the equestrian world in all its facets, businesswoman and wife of the country's leading equestrian figure, today her heart stopped beating. A farewell is always very sad, especially when it was unforeseen just a few days ago, but how lucky Silvia has been, what a full life, what a captivating personality and what a huge void she leaves us with.
Rest in peace, Silvia. The equestrian world mourns you and will not forget you.
