Pénélope Leprévost says goodbye to her inseparable Baloubet de Talma
The French showjumper Pénélope Leprévost has announced on her social media the death of Baloubet de Talma at the age of fifteen following an accident.
Baloubet de Talma was a son of Baloubet du Rouet out of Reggae De Talma (by Cento) whom the female rider had been competing with for some time.
Pénélope herself commented on her social media that she had a great temperament on the track, accompanied by generosity and courage, which was matched by her sweetness and kindness in everyday life, bidding her farewell in her message with “an exceptional horse that we will never forget”.
For its part, Haras de Talma also had a few words to say about Baloubet de Talma, highlighting his energy and fighting spirit, always giving 150% of what was expected of him. That being the case, and although he began to stand out from an early age, it was with Audrey that the horse made his leap “to fame”. Subsequently, he continued his rise to prominence under Valentin’s ride, competing in 1.45- and 1.50-metre classes.
It was later that Leprévost took “Balou” to his absolute peak, competing in 5* Grands Prix at venues such as Lyon, Vejer de la Frontera and London, among others.
