The first phase of the Navarre Show Jumping Championship and the 2026 Navarre Sports Games now has a new official date after being postponed due to adverse weather conditions. The Navarre Equestrian Federation and the Zahorí Equestrian Club have confirmed that the competition will finally take place on Sunday, March 22, 2026, a decision made after carefully considering all available calendar alternatives.
The intense weather instability in the region forced the cancellation of the initial event, as optimal safety conditions for riders and horses could not be guaranteed. Reorganizing the schedule has not been easy, but the chosen date has been established as the only viable one before the start of the second phase of the circuit, thus ensuring the continuity of the season's competition.
The Zahorí Equestrian Club will once again host this first phase, a venue that has established itself as a leading center for equestrian activities in Navarre. Its facilities will welcome participants of all levels, from beginners to advanced riders, for what promises to be an intense and exciting day.
For many pairs, this first event marks the starting point for the finals of the Navarre Championship and the Navarre Sports Games, so expectations are particularly high. The results obtained in this initial phase will be crucial for the overall standings and will determine each athlete's competitive path throughout the season.
The confirmation of the new date has been received with relief and enthusiasm by the equestrian community of Navarre. After the uncertainty caused by the postponement, clubs, trainers, and families can now resume their sporting plans with clarity and adjust their horses' training to ensure they arrive in the best possible condition.
The organization's commitment to ensuring a safe and high-quality event has been widely praised, reinforcing the importance of this circuit as a cornerstone of equestrian sport in the region. With eyes now on March 22nd, the atmosphere is already buzzing with excitement and competitiveness as a new edition prepares to live up to expectations.
