The 2026 Aachen World Championships provided a special week for Moerings SportHorses, which was represented on the German stage by several horses linked to its breeding and sport programme. The Netherlands, Jordan, USA and Qatar were the four countries under whose flags horses from the Dutch stud competed.
One of the main protagonists was Ipsthar (Denzel van het Meulenhof x Farmer x Calvaro x Zevenster), who took on his first World Championship alongside Bas Moerings. The combination also made their debut in the main arena at Aachen, completing two clear rounds before taking on a third test in which they were unable to maintain the same form.
Despite the outcome of that third day, Bas Moerings and Ipsthar left Aachen as the highest-ranked Dutch combination of the week, wrapping up an experience that represents a major step in the international career of this young partnership.
The presence of Moerings SportHorses also extended to two home-bred horses from the same dam, Blisther. Lesther (Glenfiddich VDL x Farmer), ridden by Ibrahim Bisharat and representing Jordan, completed two solid rounds and only knocked down one fence on Friday, thereby securing qualification for Sunday's final. Ultimately, Bisharat decided not to contest the final class with the horse.
Also present was Fasther, ridden by the American showjumper Lillie Keenan. The pair produced two clear rounds while representing the United States, although their results were not enough to secure a place in Sunday's individual final.
The string of horses was completed by Lavesther (Elvis ter Putte x Guidam), who competed in the 1.45-metre Young Riders events representing Qatar alongside his rider, Sheikh Fahad Jassim H K Al Thani.
Aachen 2026 thus leaves a result of special significance for Moerings SportHorses, not only because of the World Championship debut of Bas Moerings and Ipsthar, but also due to the international presence of several horses linked to their breeding and training project. A week in which horses from the Dutch stable competed under four different flags in one of the grand arenas of international show jumping.
