The Feira do Cabalo de Lalín reaches its 35th edition this year, consolidating itself as one of the most notable events on the Galician equestrian calendar. The event, organized by the Cabaleiros de Lalín association, will be held on April 12 and 13 at the Campo da Feira Novo.
Program
The fair will kick off on Saturday, April 12th, with the traditional horse market and conformation shows, featuring Purebred Spanish Horses (PRE), Purebred Arabian Horses (PRA), and crossbreds, with significant cash prizes for the best specimens. There will also be an exhibition of native Galician horses, highlighting the value of local breeds in Galician cultural heritage.
In the afternoon, excitement is guaranteed with the Galician walking race. The day will conclude with a dinner for members, followed by a DJ session open to all attendees.
The event will begin on Sunday, April 13th, with a 15-kilometer horseback riding route, including a break for a snack halfway through. The ride will culminate in a meal of octopus and beef stew (caldeiro), open to all participants and subject to a fee.
Paco Martos Show
One of the great attractions of this edition will be the participation of Paco Martos , famous for his shows in which he performs with horses and other animals, such as dogs and birds, offering an impressive display of coordination and skill.
