José Antonio García Mena concluded with an especially positive balance his participation in the CDN3* held at the Los Albardones Equestrian Centre, where he demonstrated the quality of his string of horses with three young horses and great results throughout the weekend.
The Spanish rider began the competition on Friday with an outstanding performance in the 6-year-olds’ Preliminary class. Riding Quirón del Carpio, he scored 75.600 (%), a score that secured him the victory. In the same class, García Mena took to the podium once again with Mac Cacique, finishing second with a score of 75.000 (%), and with Queluz RC he came third with a score of 74.600 (%).
The consistent form continued on Saturday, this time in the 6-year-old Final. Queluz RC even improved on their score from the previous day and won with a total of 76.200 (%), whilst Mac Cacique once again took second place with 76.000 (%). Meanwhile, Quirón del Carpio completed García Mena’s hat-trick by finishing third with a score of 74.400 %.
Thus, the three horses that the rider presented in Los Albardones were among the top-ranked on both days, sweeping the podium. It is worth noting that this was Cacique's debut in this category.
Putting aside the positions, the marks reflect the consistency of the three horses and the work being carried out with them with a view to their progression in the arena. A brilliant weekend for García Mena!
