The High Council for Sports has appointed Antonio Javier Masot Gómez-Landero, a leading figure in the veterinary and equestrian field, as its technical advisor for equestrian sports. His career, both in teaching and in competition, represents an added value for the aforementioned body.
Masot is a professor of Animal Medicine at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Extremadura, where he has spent 37 years dedicated to teaching and research, particularly in the fields of equine reproduction and spermatology. His academic work has earned him seven national five-year teaching periods and six six-year research periods, which attest to a career of excellence.
Her experience is not limited to the university sphere. Within equestrianism, she has served as a Level 3 International Judge and Level 2 Steward in the discipline of Show Jumping, in addition to High Performance. This role has allowed her to participate as a member and president of ground juries in national and international championships, ranging from Spanish championships to European events and World Cups.
The prestige of his career was recognised in 2023, when he received the Extremadura Sports Award, the most important accolade granted by the autonomous community.
