With an emotional post on her social media, Israeli showjumper Isabella Russekoff announced the retirement of Balou’s Fly High. «Happy retirement to the horse of my life, Balou’s Fly High. We spent a whole decade together, taking us from the 1.20m level all the way to 5*. I will always be grateful for the most incredible stallion who made many of my dreams come true,” she wrote alongside a gallery of images, most of them capturing lovely moments competing.
A partnership that has managed to climb onto the podium on several occasions. Three years ago, they were crowned champions in the CSI2* Grand Prix of Oliva, and a year later, they achieved gold in Wellington.
The retirement of Balou’s Fly High is a reminder of the impact that great horses leave on the sport and on the lives of those who have the privilege of sharing the journey with them.
