After a long weekend, where good weather has played a leading role, at the facilities of the El Forcón Equestrian Club in Avilés, today it was time to close with the most important class of the day, the 1.35 m Grand Prix.
The Grand Prix featured 15 highly competitive participants such as Leonardo Medal, Guillermo Gonzalez Alonso and Ari González Barros. The winner was Irene Alonso Vazquez with her magnificent Spanish-bred mare (CDE) «Los Potros Z», who stopped the clock at 37.57 seconds, more than two seconds ahead of the runner-up, Jaime Silvela Castañon, who was also riding a Spanish-bred mare (CDE), «Makuru MQ».
Rounding off the podium and the class in this Grand Prix was Ari Gonzalez Barros riding the AES mare «Visama Caoba».
In the 1.20m class, the winner was Pablo García Gallardo García from Burgos riding «Sabal de Olid», second was Cristina Domato Rozamontes with «Fleurdelys Du Gast», and third was Jaime Silvela Castañón with «Atenea MQ».
And in the Mini Grand Prix, a 1.10m class, the winner was Jimena Cobos Velasco.
