The Spanish Show Jumping team has taken an important step in its international calendar with its participation in the Longines EEF Series in Lier, an event that is part of the sporting journey that will take the team to the WEG in Aachen.
The competition brought together some of the strongest European teams on the circuit. Belgium emerged victorious with a flawless performance and a final tally of zero points, followed by Great Britain and the Czech Republic, both with four points. Germany and Italy finished fourth and fifth respectively, while Spain rounded out the top half of the table with a total of twelve points.
The Spanish team, led by François Mathy, consisted of Álvaro González de Zárate riding Casa Diva Ps, Pilar Lucrecia Cordón riding Pica Pica Z, Imma Roquet Autonell riding Irivola del Maset and Iván Serrano Sáez with Rain Man.
Beyond the rankings, the day in Lier underscores the importance of closely following each international competition. Spain faces a crucial year in its quest for the World Equestrian Games in Aachen, and each Nations Cup provides essential information about the team's progress, the strength of the horse-and-rider pairs, and their ability to respond to extremely demanding courses.
