Ecuador was crowned team champion in Dressage at the 13th South American Games Santa Fe 2026. The competition took place at the facilities of the Jockey Club de Rosario, where Brazil won the silver medal and Argentina completed the podium with the bronze.
The Ecuadorian team, made up of María José Granja, Franziska Klinkicht, Julio Mendoza and Carolina Espinoza, headed the classification with a total of 415.647 points. María José Granja and Balido CH delivered one of the team's standout performances, allowing Ecuador to climb to the top of the podium.
Brazil finished in second position with 408,263 points. Within the Brazilian team, the result achieved by Jeferson Rodrigo Pereira together with Mestre Da Sasa JE stood out.
The bronze medal went to Argentina, which finished the team competition with 390.142 points. Verónica Malberti and Faena D Atela achieved the highest score for the host delegation.
The day also served as the second qualifier for the individual standings. The medals will be decided this Wednesday, 16 September, with the Intermedia Kür and Grand Prix Kür tests, which will bring the curtain down on the Dressage competition at the South American Games.
