The 10-year-old mare, owned by ALDA Stables, is heading to Mexico after completing a progression up to 1.50-metre classes alongside the rider.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Caliga Blue PS is changing hands. The 10-year-old mare, owned by ALDA Stables and ridden for the last few seasons by Alex Codina, will now continue her sporting career in Mexico following a spell of steady progression alongside the Catalan rider.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Daughter of\u00a0<\/span>Caligula and Chasalina, by Chacco-Blue<\/span><\/b>, the mare began her international sporting training alongside Manuel Fern\u00e1ndez Saro and Alex Codina at the CSIYH shows in Vejer de la Frontera in 2023. Since then, her development has followed a progressive path, moving through 1.45-metre classes and reaching 1.50-metre Grands Prix this season. The FEI currently records 89 international ring appearances for Caliga Blue PS.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He began 2026 competing regularly in 1.45-metre ranking classes at the CSI4* in Vejer de la Frontera, and subsequently tackled his first national 1.50-metre Grands Prix at Moura Tours.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At the CSI2* in Heras in June, the combination finished seventh in the 1.40-metre class that acted as the qualifier for the Grand Prix, with a double clear in 29.70 seconds. Shortly after, at the CSN5* Ruta de la Cerdanya in August, Caliga Blue PS once again placed among the best with a fourth-place finish in the 1.45-metre Special Two-Phase class.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The mare's progression has been carefully managed. ALDA Stables has focused on a gradual preparation and giving her experience before increasing the demands. This process has allowed her to reach heights of 1.50 metres with a solid foundation and good feelings in the arena.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, Caliga Blue PS is starting a new sporting phase on the other side of the Atlantic. The mare has been sold to\u00a0<\/span>Mexico<\/span><\/b>, bringing his time alongside Alex Codina to an end.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
