In the development of a show jumper there are no moments that can be rushed. Every height, every course and every experience form part of a progressive build-up where time and management are what determine the horse's future sporting career. And that is what is happening with Caliga Blue PS, the 10-year-old mare who continues to evolve capably alongside Alex Codina Leria.<\/p>\n
By Chacco-Blue out of a Caligula mare, Caliga Blue PS has been showing a very consistent progression on the international circuit for several seasons. Her competition career began alongside Manuel Fern\u00e1ndez Saro and Alex Codina himself in the CSIYH classes at Vejer de la Frontera in 2023, where she began to demonstrate both her scope and her natural quality.<\/p>\n
From then on, the mare continued to develop until she was jumping in 1.45-metre classes by the age of eight, an important stage in her sporting training and where she began to demonstrate consistency, ability and a good temperament in the arena.<\/p>\n
As early as April 2025, Caliga Blue PS returned to international competition alongside Alex Codina at the CSI2* in Oliva, thus resuming work focused on continuing to build experience and consolidation in more demanding courses.<\/p>\n
The start of this season marked a new turning point. In February, the mare began tackling 1.45-metre Ranking classes during the CSI4* in Vejer de la Frontera, taking an important step towards new levels and confirming that she was ready to take on greater sporting responsibilities.<\/p>\n
Now, the next step has already arrived. This spring, Caliga Blue PS has started her first rounds in national Grand Prix classes over 1.50-metre heights, an always important phase in the development of any sport horse.<\/p>\n
The CSI5* competitions held at Moura Tours served as the setting for this new chapter. There, the mare has already competed in three 1.50-metre Grands Prix, showing very positive progress and leaving particularly interesting impressions with her way of tackling top-level courses.<\/p>\n
In the last of those Grands Prix, Caliga Blue PS finished with a single knockdown, delivering a very solid performance and demonstrating not only jumping ability, but also calmness, scope and the capacity to maintain the level throughout the entire course.<\/p>\n
Beyond the result, what's important is the feeling of progression. The mare is starting to confirm that she has the tools to keep growing within the big classes, always within a logical process and respecting her timescales.<\/p>\n
