The stallion Cornet Obolensky has become one of the great references in international show jumping, both for his sporting career and his extraordinary genetic influence.<\/p>\n
In recent seasons, the offspring of Cornet Obolensky have been leaving their mark on the international circuit. So far this year, two of his descendants have already won a CSI5* Grand Prix. Charly Heart, with the Brazilian rider Marlon Modolo Zanotelli, won one of those held in Doha, and Pallieter vd N.Ranch, a horse well worth keeping a close eye on, did so last weekend in Mexico, at the second show of the 2026 Longines Global Champions Tour.<\/p>\n
Cornet Obolensky, born in 1999, son of the legendary Clinton and Rabanna van Costersveld, stood out from a young age for his power, reflexes and exceptional jumping technique. Ridden by German rider Marco Kutscher, he enjoyed a top-level career, playing a key role in the German team that won the bronze medal at the 2011 European Show Jumping Championships. Furthermore, he amassed numerous victories in Grands Prix and Nations Cups, establishing himself as one of the most competitive horses of his generation.<\/p>\n
However, it is in breeding that Cornet Obolensky has achieved a legendary status. As a stallion, he has consistently passed on his finest qualities: explosiveness, quickness of the forelegs and enormous athletic ability. His offspring number in the hundreds of top-level horses, many of them starring on the major international circuits.<\/p>\n
Offspring of his such as Clooney, Cornet d'Amour or Comme Il Faut have perpetuated his legacy at the elite level of show jumping, confirming his role as one of the most influential breeding stallions of the 21st century.<\/p>\n
In the ranking of Show Jumping sires compiled by the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH), Cornet Obolensky holds the top spot, with his five highest-scoring progeny being Millfield Colette, Corbie V.V., Fave D\u2019Authuit, Casual DV Z and Kapitaal L.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
