La decimoquinta edici\u00f3n de la carrera de caballos en la playa de Itzurun de Zumaia atrajo a cientos de espectadores este domingo, como parte de las festividades de San Telmo. Organizado por Motxanekua Zaldi Elkartea y en colaboraci\u00f3n con el Ayuntamiento local, el evento cont\u00f3 con la participaci\u00f3n de 15 caballos y 15 jinetes, incluyendo ocho mujeres y siete hombres. El clima favorable realz\u00f3 el esplendor de las carreras.<\/p>\n
La jornada comenz\u00f3 con carreras clasificatorias, dividiendo a los participantes en tres grupos de cinco para correr en un circuito trazado en la arena. Los dos m\u00e1s r\u00e1pidos de cada grupo pasaron a la final, mientras que los dem\u00e1s compitieron en la final de consolaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n
La gran final fue emocionante de principio a fin, con los lugares en disputa hasta las \u00faltimas vueltas. Un emocionante adelantamiento en la pen\u00faltima curva permiti\u00f3 que Itxasne y ‘Rey’ se alzaran con el trofeo por segundo a\u00f1o consecutivo. El segundo lugar lo obtuvo Xabin Lazkano y ‘Krestot’, seguido por Eneritz Etxabe de Zumaia y ‘Mogilevich’.
